Spirit: A soul that was not born with a physical body. They used to be invisible to the human eye and existed in a separate realm, creatively called 'the spirit realm.' Within the last five years, spirits became public knowledge thanks to a series of viral videos. Combined with the rising power of the Kami of Love, they became visible as glowing sparks. They still cannot be heard or felt by average humans. They can see and hear, but cannot feel or taste.
☆ Spirit Realm: A realm that exists alongside the physical world. It is like seeing the world through a different lens; Souls are visible here and their light makes seeing the physical world difficult.
☆ Faith Magic: A natural magic in this world. It is created by those in the physical world and given to spirits through acknowledgment. Spirits can use this magic to create miracles.
☆ Shrine: Something that humans give their faith magic to. It can be a physical place that represents a concept or a story that is passed around a vast number of people. Spirits that take faith from powerful shrines can become kami.
☆ Kami: A spirit who has gained an exceptional amount of Faith Magic. They are able to embody a form imagined by humans and take on the powers that humans expect of them. Kami are bound by the expectations of the humans who give them faith, but in exchange they can have a physical body that can touch, taste, and speak.
☆ Rumor: The opposite of a kami. If a kami is a spirit powered by faith, then Rumors are spirits powered by curses. When humans spread a hateful story around enough, it can become a shrine and be inhabited by a spirit. Rumors are bound by the hate of humans and spread curses rather than miracles.
☆ Fallen Star: The name given to people from another world. AKA, player characters. They have become a normal occurrence and are generally treated quite well.

People from other worlds begin to arrive in the city of Starsand; A peaceful place where magic and spirits are very real, and faith and love govern the city. At the command of the leading kami, the Kami of Love, civilians welcome to new arrivals with love. They offer them free food and housing, under the impression that these people will be returned home quickly.
A new shrine appears in the city: The shrine of Spacetime.
☆Mingle☆ May Rumor☆
Newly arriving Fallen Stars encounter a mysterious girl in the space between worlds. She is later called 'Ariel' and warns them that something is summoning them to this world for a reason. As suddenly as they meet her, they arrive in the city of Starsand and are welcomed lovingly by the civilians.
The Spacetime Shrine begins leaking a dark, sparkly liquid. When people climb the stairs to the top, they hear an unbearably loud static sound.
The city is celebrating an event called 'Reblooming,' which is when the cherry blossom trees have their petals restored at midnight every night. This allows for flower viewing to go on for the entire month. However, a strange Rumor begins to spread among the civilians: "Fallen Stars are going to replace and hurt us." As if it were true, civilians who are kind to Fallen Stars begin to disappear. In their place is a puddle of the same dark goo that is leaking from the Spacetime Shrine.
One of the Fallen Stars, Hanyuu, recognizes that there is a tree spirit crying for help on the lowest floor of the city. She organizes a meeting among the Fallen Stars, where they band together to help the civilians. They learn that the spirit at the bottom level has become something called 'a Rumor.' In other words, it is a spirit who has fallen victim to a curse and is now spreading its suffering. In this case, the cherry blossom spirit was left out of the reblooming festivities and is cursing the civilians who ignored it.
The Fallen Stars decide to host a picnic by the cursed tree, which eventually triggers a confrontation with the Cherry Blossom Rumor. After the Kami of Love appears and destroys an unsettling foe, the Cherry Blossom spirit is rescued and peace is restored.

New arrivals do not encounter the strange girl from last month. Instead, they arrive in a city that is celebrating last month's victory.
But there are many new Rumors spreading this month. Fortunately, the Fallen Stars catch wind of them and quickly come up with counter-measures, an effort spear-headed by the newly formed 'Armed Detective Agency.' They use a combination of repackaging the Rumors with happier ending and disproving them in order to free the Rumored spirits. The only Rumor that they fail to undo is the Windchime Rumor: This Rumor states that writing the name of a loved one on a windchime and then hanging it in the Shrine of Love will grant them magical protection.
Instead of being protected, those whose names are on the windchimes wake up in a mysterious research facility. There, the kidnapped Fallen Stars learn that they are part of an experiment to turn them into kami. They are split up and expected to pass certain tests to prove their worth.
Meanwhile, the uncaptured Fallen Stars meet at the Shrine of Love and plan a rescue effort. Using the love magic on the windchimes, the Kami of Love creates a spell that shows a string between the person who made the chime and the person who was captured. The rescue team finds the Facility, where they are confronted by three young girls, who claim to be kami themselves. The girls are the results of the Facility experiments and they try to stop the Fallen Stars from rescuing their friends. Despite their efforts, the rescue effort succeeds and everyone escapes safely.
The three girls-- Theta, Zeta, and Mu,-- stay behind.
Later that night, the Fallen Stars hold another meeting to take role and share information. They learn that this 'Facility' is responsible for turning children into kami and trying to control them through fear. They also learn that the local kami of Love and Curiosity have ties to this Facility; The pair agree to help Fallen Stars in combating this new threat, which is targeting them in particular.
Days later, one of the Fallen Stars announces the completion of her new shrine with the Watanagashi Festival.
